FREN 397: INTERNSHIP -1qh - 7.5 hours per week (75 hours total per quarter)

Some of you are interested in internships with the UN in Geneva, Switzerland while attending the ACA program at Collonges. We have two sets of information for you about those internships. Those who are interested must apply before leaving for Collonges because there are MANY interns applying and, in September, most slots will be filled out already. So, you can apply any time from now on. Please, use the links in the messages sent to us by Collonges. Go to www.unog.ch and under Resources & Services, click on Internships and you will find the instructions and links to follow.  In one of the cases they are saying that interns must work all day long. That will not be possible as you will have to attend classes, but if you are VERY interested just apply.  We have information from the UN that work hours can be negotiated. The other information is for graduate students but we have heard about some exceptions being made, so we think that it is worth trying, as well. Please follow the instructions on those links. The College at Collonges will provide transportation for you to participate in the internship if you are accepted. Please DO NOT apply if you are not very serious about wanting to be an intern. It is lots of extra work.  It may create a bad reputation for those who are very decided in going that route.
