Travel Documents Because of the short term of study, students with US passports will not need any travel documents other than a valid passport. Students of other nationalities should check with their consulates or embassies to determine whether visas or other travel documents are needed. Make sure that all passports are valid for the complete time of stay abroad, as all passports do expire. Please check the dates. Passport applications are available in federal post offices and in many local government offices, as well as any US Passport Agency. It may take up to SIX months to receive a passport. All students must make sure they either have a valid passport when they submit their application or have applied for a passport. Taking care of these matters now will avoid tension, worry and disappointments later. |
